Leah Kyler Kiolbassa – Pediatric Occupational Therapist in San Antonio, TX
Leah Kyler Kiolbassa

Hi, I’m Leah Kyler Kiolbassa

I'm a licensed Occupational Therapist with extensive school-based experience supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade. I provide individualized, in-home therapy in San Antonio, partnering with families and care teams to build practical skills that carry over into everyday routines at school and home.

‍

Why I love what I do:

I love helping children discover their abilities, celebrate their progress, and build everyday skills through a whole-child approach that honors their unique strengths, interests, and needs.

Why I’m passionate about in-home care:

I love in-home therapy because it allows me to understand each family’s routines, values, and culture and create practical strategies that fit naturally into everyday life.

What does an Occupational Therapist Do?

Occupational therapists support children in building everyday skills—so they can grow, play, and be more independent. If your child struggles with things like getting dressed, using utensils, paying attention, or staying calm in new situations, an OT can help.

OTs focus on:

• Fine motor skills – like holding a pencil, buttoning a shirt, or using scissors

• Sensory processing – supporting kids who are extra sensitive to sounds, textures, or movement (or don’t seem to notice them at all)

• Emotional regulation – helping kids manage big feelings and focus at school or home‍

• Independence and daily skills – like brushing teeth, tying shoes, or washing hands.

Occupational therapy supports kids at home, at school, and in everyday life—so they can feel confident and capable in the things they do every day.
