Helping Kids Thrive with Speech Therapy

Marissa Greenblatt - Pediatric Speech Therapist in Indiana, PA
Marissa Greenblatt

Hi, I’m Marissa Greenblatt

I’m a neurodiversity-affirming Speech-Language Pathologist with two years of experience supporting children through play-based therapy. I specialize in working with autistic children and am passionate about helping every child communicate their wants, needs, thoughts, ideas, and opinions with confidence. My experience includes augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), expressive and receptive language development, and articulation. My goal is to create engaging, individualized therapy experiences that empower children and support meaningful communication in everyday life.

Why I love what I do:

I love getting to know my clients and creating individualized ways to support their communication, helping them express their wants, needs, and thoughts while watching their unique personalities shine through.

Why I’m passionate about in-home care:

I’m excited about in-home therapy because it allows me to support children in their natural environment, making it easier to build meaningful skills that carry over into everyday life.

What does a Speech Therapist Do?

Speech-language pathologists (also known as speech therapists or SLPs) help kids communicate—whether they’re late to talk, hard to understand, or struggling to express themselves. They also support kids with feeding, swallowing, and social interaction. SLPs focus on:
• Speech sounds – helping kids say words clearly so others can understand them

• Language development – building vocabulary, following directions, and expressing ideas

• Social skills – learning how to have conversations, ask questions, advocate for their needs, and take turns

• Stuttering – supporting smoother, more confident speech

• Feeding and swallowing – helping with picky eating, chewing, swallowing challenges, and texture sensitivities.

Speech therapy gives kids the tools to express themselves and connect with the people around them—at home, in school, and in the world.
